You know, the funny part was? I had this 26 years old patient who recently became an orphan and was admitted for depression. And while filling out the hospital form, the "incase of emergency contact person" stumped her. She cried while asking me the same dilemma that I had for a while. "Who can she call when her car breaks down on the highway in the middle of the night?" "Who will be there for her, if she gets cancer?" I wanted to tell her, I will. But that's not an appropriate professional remarks. So I said, "well we will find you a new family." Which I can apply to myself too.. i guess.. whatevs!!!
